As you may know, we’ve been in Maine since the 8th and we’ve been having a great time relaxing, rafting, chilling out by the camp fire, riding bikes, watching the sunset, fishing, and all that good stuff. Here are a few random shots of the trip with plenty more to come…

Tomorrow is another day packed with action as we start out morning with Class V rapids on the Penobscot River. Don’t forget to check out our Twitter page for constant photos and updates. Also, we’re now using Instagram…follow us and check out lots of sweet images that are only posted on there and our Twitter page! (Instagram username: truefeelclothing).

Watertown, NY.

On July 7, 2011, in press, by True Feel

So we’re up in Watertown, New York, which is located about 70 miles north of Syracuse and 30 miles south of Canada. The drive took about 4 1/2 hours but was nice and scenic, so that helped.

truefeel07071101

Once we passed this sign, we knew we only had about another 45 minutes to go…

truefeel07071102

All of a sudden, we came to this sign and had to re-evaluate our GPS coordinates to make sure we were where we thought we were…

truefeel07071103

Different Mexico…phew! We continued on and finally arrived at Watertown. It was different than expected but a very neat place overall. The thing I loved about it the most (aside from Cracker Barrel) was how old-fashioned the town looked. There were large brick buildings all over, once factories that produced much of the goods that have been streamlined today. Take a gander…

truefeel07071104

No signage beats the traditional look of a business name painted directly onto a building…

Tomorrow we head up to Millinocket, Maine. Lots of photos to be posted. Keep up!

State Fair.

On July 3, 2011, in press, by True Feel

Yesterday evening, a group of us decided to head over to the Meadowlands to attend the State Fair which is going on until July 10. It was a perfect night to go since the fair opened its gates on June 24th, giving everyone else a chance to get there and making it less crowded for us. We had a great time as usual and below are a few glimpses of what the fair was about…nothing atypical about it.

Helicopter ride in the actual helicopter from the Batman TV Series… cool, but no thanks.

…and now it’s time to head over to a 4th of July party…I recommend you do the same. See ya later.

Love Automatic / Cash Cash.

On June 27, 2011, in press, by True Feel

Yesterday evening we had the pleasure of being on the guest list and attending a small performance from a few bands including Mitchy C, Silverstar, and our friends Love Automatic and Cash Cash. Before the show started, and as usual…we were in need of a little pick-me-up. We headed over to Btarsucks (Starbucks) and I grabbed a “Grande Iced Upside Down Extra Caramel-Caramel Macchiato”…yum:

Then it was back to the show which was all happening within the 4 walls of Just Jake’s in Montclair.

After the first 2 sets (Mitchy C and Silverstar) had finished, it was time to get all our joints loosened up and ready to jump because the guys of Love Automatic know how to get the crowd moving. Their music falls under a house/electro category with a uncategorizable twist…pretty awesome. If you ask them for a band biography, this is what you’ll get: “Love Automatic is a machine. It’s fueled by heart and kinetic energy, processing them into light and sound. It functions to bring life to motionless bodies, and bring death to rock and roll.” That being said…

…and then the focus switched over to Cash Cash… talk about a room full of energy…

Awesome show guys! Great time with great people.

TBC.

On June 25, 2011, in press, by True Feel

Today we met up with Raphaella and Melissa, the owner and make-up artist over at The Beauty Chateau located in Nutley, NJ. Not only was it a meeting that lasted for a heavy portion of the day, but we came up with some amazing ideas that will be coming to fruition within the next 2 months…and you should be excited. Very excited. Along with all of the business talk that went on, Raphaella and The Beauty Chateau also became an exclusive retailer for a select few of our products which include the Crystal Skull Longsleeve, Boy Short Undies, Cherry Bomber, Classic Hoodie, Inverse Tank Top and Xerox Tank. If you want to check our the shop or grab one of those items, I suggest you make your way down to her shop…and sooner rather than later! After discussing our plans at the shop, we took all the ideas over to Aki Restaurant in Bloomfield to indulge in some of the most fresh and delicious sushi this side of the sun. The sushi was so good that I forfeited the idea of even putting my chopsticks down to take a photo of what I was eating. Of course, when that was over, we headed over to “Cups” for dessert. Now, if you want to know more about Cups other than that it’s a completely self-serve frozen yogurt joint with endless flavor combinations (except my favorite… plain peach!!) and kick @ss toppings that is all priced by weight (what’s new?)…then you should check out their site and visit their location for yourself.

Here’s a little sneak peak of what you’ll be served besides yogurt…

Yeah…I thought that would get your attention.

Thanks again to Ella, Melissa, and our awesome team at True Feel and Planet Verge for a great day. Now it’s time for some frozen grapes, Kool-Aid, and bed. Goodnight.

Jimmy. Eat. World.

On June 5, 2011, in press, by True Feel

Last night, we had the pleasure of attending a Jimmy Eat World concert at the Wellmont Theatre. Not only was it an Epic performance by Jimmy Eat World, BUT it was the 10th anniversary for their “Bleed American” album which they played in its entirety AND it was opened by Civil Twilight…whoa!

I was stoked when I found out Civil Twilight was opening the show for Jimmy Eat World. You may know them, or atleast heard one of their popular hits, “Letters from the Sky” which has been aired on various rock radio stations throughout the world. This rock band coming from South Africa consisting of 2 brothers and a drummer pack quite the punch for a smaller setup.

That was awesome. Now it’s time for Jimmy to Eat the World. Not to mention i’ve been wanting to see these guys for years now but just never had the chance to catch them at a smaller venue for scheduled reasons…so you can imagine how amped I was to catch them here, and be at the stage.

Oh yea, to all our followers who like Jimmy Eat World, this one’s for you…

That’s what we call a New Jersey Success Story.
