This week, we had the privilege of attending the first “Acoustic Wednesdays” night at Session 73 in NYC. This lounge located on 1359 First Ave @ 73rd street holds more than just a great vibe, but now showcases a great variety of musical talent. Being visited by celebs such as Derek Jeter, Will Farrell, Ben Afleck, Dan Marino and many more, you never know what you’ll find on any given night.
Throughout the night, there were a total of five 45 minute sets all consisting of different artist/bands. Included on that list was Jay Delle Della Valle, featuring Jay himself, and True Feels very own, Nikki Stixx.
Jay Della Valle and Nikki Stixx kicked it with a very fun, high energy set list that captivated all attendees with clapping hands and stomping feet. Their blend of vocals, guitar, and violin was nothing short of solid and entertaining. It was a great night to be at Session 73. Check out one of our favorite original songs performed by Della Valle here.
Another band that is no doubt worth mentioning, is Peter Bagale. Using nothing more than an acoustic guitar, cajon, and tambourine…these two guys played the most ridiculous mix of acoustic hip-hop we have ever heard. After starting off with a handful of originals, they side-swiped the entire audience by jumping into some acoustic Biggie Smalls and Black Sheep….they didn’t miss a beat.
…awesome!
