As per our annual routine, we shot down to Atlantic City this morning to attend the ISS Show.
It always feels great to be completely surrounded by apparel and all the machines we work with on a daily basis, and love. This year all the major players in the game were present, and even some new and upcoming guys trying to make a new break-through in the garment industry. Here is a quick glimpse of some of the major machines currently in the game…
M&R with their automatic presses going from 6-colors all the way up to 18-colors…
Pad printing machines to help the world go tagless…
Top of the line Direct-to-garment (DTG) machines such as this Kornit machine used by companies such as Disney and all the others that let you create custom, full-color garments with 1-piece minimums in minutes…
Stahl’s debuted their new Air Fusion heat press which lowers the heating element with a pneumatic trigger…
and lastly, All American Manufacturing with their threadless sequin system…
Last year we gave you an idea of the apparel represented at the show, so this year…we thought we’d give you a glimpse of the machines that make it all happen. The team at TrueFeel houses it’s own graphic design team, along with our own garment embellishing facility where we test and apply all different elements of mixed media to give you our new collections season after season. From start to finish, we ARE the products we create.
Don’t forget to set your clocks an hour ahead tonight (Spring forward).
Oh yea…recognize these fellas? haha
Here comes the new Nikon D800 DSLR camera! This camera is designed to capture images with amazing dynamic range, in-depth tonal range and faithful colors with incredibly low noise. This camera is ideal for demanding professional photographers who need the highest quality, full built-in imaging system and superior speed, performance and handling. With 36.3MP (more than Canon’s newly announced 5D Mark III which comes in at 22.3mp), multimedia professionals can look forward to excellent HD 1080p video with cinematic quality. Besides that, this camera offers the standard 100 to 6400 ISO range which can expand to 25,600 ISO for larger poster print sizes without compromising detail. That’s what i’m talkin’ about!
Nikon adds the new EXPEED-3 image processing to the D800 to lower color phase shifts and produce true tones and colors all while handling massive data at break-through speed. With this powerful technology, it’s possible to capture rich images at reduced noise levels and record Full-HD videos easily at 30p. Keep talkin’…
The designitself is a real beauty with an ergonomic streamlined body allowing for serious video and photography tasks. Live view, movie record, picture control and white balance are easily accessible with the touch of a button. With environmental sealing and a magnesium alloy built, the D800 is quite comfortable to work with in the studio and in the field. This camera boasts the Advanced Scene Recognition System with 91,000 pixel RGB sensor with capabilities to deliver unparalleled accuracy, auto white balance and face recognition. This means that the camera can track subjects, identify and analyze faces, identify light source and study highlights. This camera IS the future.
Nikon brought sexy back, back! Including a 100% viewfinder, powerful video recording capability, dual memory cards, new battery system and tons more that not only match up to, but exceed the existing standards. Nikon listened to their users and has tripled the pixel count to 36.3MP and produced a camera with a smaller size, and reasonably affordable price coming in at $3,000 (body only).
That being said, feel free to send us one. Thanks.
A Link to this video was sent to us from a friend that was poking around on YouTube. He came across this kick ass drummer from Switzerland dropping some hits on his drum kit. Dope!

Have a great weekend Everyone.
This weekend, 13 of the guys took a trip up to West Dover, VT…home of Mount Snow. We stayed in an awesome cabin with tons of room to let all of our debaucheries run rampant. That being said, here’s a view from the deck.
Once we got settled in, we took a trip into the town center which was really quaint and full of friendly residents and shop owners.
The Country Store is one of few stores who hasn’t been hit too hard by Hurricane Irene or the economy hitting an all-time low.
After stopping at the local market to get fresh produce and 8 lbs of london broil, we had a feast (sorry, no photo, was too busy eating). After dinner, our scheduled rides picked us up and brought us to the Snow Barn. Let the good times roll…
The band of the night was Turkuaz (Ter-Kwaz), a 10-piece power funk band based out of Brooklyn, NY.
At first I was somewhat skeptical as far as what to expect. I can tell you that I stand corrected. I was completely blown away by their seamless rhythms and amazing talent. Their songs were full of energy and all completely original. They had everyone moving (even if you tried not to); it was almost like you had no choice.
Great show. Great night. Great Weekend. Back to work.
So last night we headed into the city with Nikki Sixx Stixx and headed to Rockwood Music Hall to meet up with our buddy Jay Della Valle.
We love this part of the city in particular because it’s a showcase of a young, hip, artistic culture. It thrives off independent artists, musicians, and everyone who is trying to/already has made it. There are nice cars lining the streets, stickers planted on every lightpost (or wherever there is a clean enough surface), someone walking with an instrument, or a kid who’s wearing dark denim with a snapback cap and a backpack stuffed with aerosol cans. There’s really nothing not to love. (If there was a place in NYC we’d plant ourselves…it’d be near Houston and Stanton.)
Now, back to the reason we went into the city on this rainy night…music. It was a great night spent with lots of great people listening to lots of great music. Just add a camera crew, videographer, and fans that flew in from different parts of the country and it’d make a great scene for an upcoming movie. Oh wait, that’s exactly what happened. Some of you may have heard of our good friend Jay Della Valle, and some of you maybe haven’t. He’s the leader of a worldwide trend called Movember and The Glorious Mustache Challenge (I hope that rings a bell now!) Maybe you even saw his interview on Good Morning America, The Today Show, Geraldo at Large, Fox & Friends, CNN, or even read about it in The Herald News, New York Sun, Time Out New York, or The Bergen Record. Yup, he’s that guy! Aside from being an avid supporter of mustaches, he’s also an entertainer and musician.
To kick off the evening, Jay started solo, playing a few rockin’ tunes and inciting an audience sing-along.
Then on-stage came Nikki Stixx with her kick-ass vocals and instruments which really got the crowd moving. For the fans that know her, they were anxious to hear her. For the fans that didn’t know her, they were floored by her.
After a few songs, the stage switched over to the cast of the upcoming movie, Mount Joy…
The photo below is particularly important because you may notice there are 2 bassists on stage. The funny part is, the kid in the plaid has no clue how to actually play bass and isn’t even hooked into the system… (In the above picture you’ll also notice a guy to the left, that’s Taylor…he’s a commercial musician (guarantee you’ve heard a commerical that he’s written and recorded the tunes for) and a well sought after producer. Oh yeah, he’s also a multi-instrumental guy, lending his talent on bass for this event.)
Cameras were on Jay and Tim (plaid guy) as they played a few songs from the Mount Joy soundtrack. Considering the Rockwood Music Hall is about the size of a standard living room; you can safely say it’s an intimate atmosphere and last night it was packed to the max and bumpin’. After the set was over, we packed up the instruments and headed down the block to Epstein’s Bar just on the corner.
Nikki Stixx and Jay in the house…
And here you see Jay in the spotlight with Katie (redhead), who plays Alex in the movie “Mount Joy” (watch trailer).
We shared some good conversations and cold beverages to close the night out on a good note (pun intended).
Goodnight.
